Assault Arrest

On Friday, November 16, 2018, Cpl. Wester and Ptl. Brown responded to the Whitehouse Motel for a disturbance and a subject under the influence of drugs. Officers spoke to a Kareem Boyd (age 34) of Hopewell, NJ. Boyd had been involved with an altercation with someone else staying at the motel. Boyd was arrested for attempting choke the other individual and charged with Simple Assault and Obstructing Justice for later refusing to be fingerprinted.

Boyd was transported to the Readington Police Dept. and after the complaints were filed was later transpoted to the Hunterdon County Jail. Boyd will appear at a later time in court to answer to the above charges.

The filing of criminal charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
