Patrolman Jason Phares stopped a vehicle on Oldwick Road near Merck Drive for multiple traffic offenses. During the course of the traffic stop, Ptlm. Phares discovered that the driver of the vehicle, Nasri Diafallah age 59 from Teaneck NJ, was hailed as an Uber driver in New York City and was transporting two patrons to their residence in Somerset County NJ. Mr. Diafallah was not in fact an Uber driver, nor a taxi driver, and was driving with a suspended driver's license. Mr. Diafallah was also wanted out of Newark Municipal Court on an outstanding traffic warrant. After Mr. Diafallah was taken into custody, it was determined that one of the patrons, John Fort age 20 from Bedminster NJ, was in possession of a fake identification card. Mr. Fort was charged with possession of the fake ID and released on a summons. Mr. Diafallah posted bail on his outstanding warrant and was released after being charged with the following traffic offenses: operating a limousine without a license, operating a limousine without special registration, failure to obtain a chauffeur driving endorsement, driving while suspended, careless driving, and failure to observe a traffic signal.
