DWI Arrests

On Friday, December 7, 2018 at approximately 2340 hours, Ptl. Darocha arrested Ian Demsey (68) from Tewksbury Township, NJ for driving while intoxicated. Ptl. Darocha was directing traffic at the intersection of Rt. 22 and Main St. in Whitehouse Station due to an earlier traffic accident. While directing traffic, the officer observed Dempsey attempt to drive west in the east bound lanes of Rt. 22. Ptl. Darocha stopped Dempsey and smelled a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the interior of the vehicle. Dempsey failed the officers field sobriety tests and was charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving.

On Saturday, December 8, 2018 at approximately 0250 hours, Ptl. Mazellan arrested Rachel Sanders (39) from Flemington, NJ for driving while intoxicated. Ptl. Mazellan stopped Sanders for speeding on Rt. 202 south and smelled a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from Sanders breath. Sanders failed the officers field sobriety tests and was charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving and speeding.
