On Monday, December 17, 2018 at approximately 0230 hours, Ptl. Darocha observed Austin Gilson (23) out of Torrington, Connecticut sleeping in his vehicle at the Exxon Gas Station. As the officer checked on Gilson's welfare he observed a vape pen in the center console. Gilson advised the officer he had THC Oil in the pen and used it to smoke. Gilson was placed under arrest and charged with under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. "The Filing of criminal charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law."
