On Friday, December 21, 2018 at approximately 1630 hours, Ptl. Bodine was conducting a commercial check of the Walgreens parking lot. The officer's attention was drawn to the vehicle parked next to him that was occupied by two individuals. As the two individuals exit the vehicle, the officer detected the odor or Marijuana coming from the vehicle. The officer then contacted SFC. Ferreiro and his Canine partner Polis. SFC. Ferreiro had his canine partner conduct a sniff of the vehicle and the canine gave a positive indication.

The officers then made contact with the occupants Joshua Reyes- Nunez and Janelli Dejesus both of Allentown, Pa. Both individuals admitted to possessing Marijuana within the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed under fifty grams of Marijuana. Both individuals were arrested and charged with possession of under fifty grams of Marijuana and released from police custody pending a future court appearance. The filing of criminal charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
