On Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at approximately 0851 hours, Ptl. Mazellan observed a vehicle traveling at a slow rate of speed on Route 22 near Vanhorne Rd. As the officer approached the vehicle he smelled a strong odor of raw marijuana emanating from the interior of the vehicle. K9 Agar sniffed the interior and exterior of the vehicle and Ptl. Mazellan searched the front seat passenger. Don Dones (41) out of Brooklyn, NY was arrested for possessing under 50 grams of marijuana. Dones was issued a complaint summons for possessing under 50 grams of marijuana and released to a friend. "The filing of criminal charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guility in a court of law."
