January 23, 2019 at 0146 hours:

At the above date and time, Sergeant Steven Rindock stopped a motor vehicle on State Highway 22 and School Road for multiple traffic violations. Sgt. Rindock made contact with the driver of the vehicle and observed loose marijuana on her lap and in other locations within the vehicle. A search of the vehicle located a bag of marijuana and a marijuana cigarette. Passenger Megan Berry (19) of Martinsburg WV took ownership of the marijuana and was placed under arrest. Berry was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and released on a summons complaint.

The filing of criminal charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
