On Thursday, January 31, 2019 at approximately 1500 hours, Ptl. Bodine observed an occupant of a vehicle in the Station Center Parking Lot rolling Marijuana blunt. The officer approached the individual and confirmed his observation. The individual was then identified as Abilio Ferreira of Whitehouse Sta. NJ. Sfc. Ferriero arrived on location with Canine Polis. The Canine conducted a sniff of the vehicle and gave a positive alert to the presence of illegal narcotics. A search of the vehicle revealed under fifty grams of Marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The individual was charged with possession of under fifty grams of Marijuana and drug paraphernalia and released from police custody pending a future court appearance. The filing of criminal charges is merely on step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
