On Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at approximately 2019 hours, Readington Township Police Officers responded to a residence on Nelson St. in Whitehouse Sta., NJ for an unwanted individual within the residence. Upon arrival patrol the made contact with Thomas Jones of Gloucester, NJ, who was the unwanted guest. Ptl. Bodine conducted a warrant check of Jones and located one traffic warrant for $2,500 for DWI and one criminal warrant for $100 for Jones' arrest. Jones was unable to post the bail, so he was lodged at the Somerset County Jail where he will await a future court appearance. The filing of criminal charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
