On Saturday, February 16, 2019 at approximately 1249 hours, Sgt. Heycock observed Jason Calzone (31) out of Bridgeport, Connecticut traveling on Route 202 north with his seatbelt off. The officer stopped Calzone and while he was speaking with the driver he smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from the interior of the vehicle. Calzone was arrested and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of CDS in a motor vehicle and failure to wear a seatbelt. "The filing of criminal charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law."
