On Thursday, March 7, 2019, at 10:30pm, Patrolman Brown stopped a vehicle operated by Jacob Barker, (age 20) of North Attleborough, MA for careless driving on Oldwick Road near US Route 22. During the stop the officer detected the odor of marijuana. A search of the vehicle yielded under 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Barker was arrested and brought to headquarters for processing. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless driving. Barker was released pending court.

The filing of criminal charges is merely one step in the process. The defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
