On Tuesday, March 11, 2019 at approximately 0013 hours, Sfc. Ferreiro stopped a motor vehicle on Rt. 22 west near Potterstown Rd. for failure to maintain lane. The vehicle was operated by Teddy Barnes and occupied by Deyjohn Dudley both from the Bronx, NY. During the motor vehicle investigation, the officer had his canine partner Polis conduct an open air sniff of the vehicle. Canine Polis gave a positive indication to the odor of illegal narcotics and a search of the vehicle reveal THC oil. Also, during the investigation Deyjohn Dudley provided the officer with a false name of Sean M. Dudley.

Both individuals were arrested and charged as follows: Teddy Barnes possession of THC oil, failure to maintain lane and operating a motor vehicle in possession of CDS. Deyjohn Dudley was charged with possession of THC oil and hindering apprehension. Both individuals were released from police custody pending a future court appearance. The filing of criminal charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
