On Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at approximately 2015 hours, Ptl. Bodine located an unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot of the Station Center Mall idling. The officer located the driver of the vehicle exiting a store in the strip mall. The driver was identified as Simeon Watson of New York, NY. During the interaction with the driver near the vehicle, the officer detected a faint odor of Marijuana coming from the vehicle. Sfc. Ferreiro was summoned to the scene to have his canine partner Polis conduct an open air sniff of the vehicle. Canine Polis gave a positive indication to the odor of illegal narcotics. A search of the vehicle reveal Marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Watson was charged with possession of under fifty grams of Marijuana and released from police custody pending a future court appearance. The filing of criminal charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
