On March 18, 2019 at approximately 0430 hours, Ptl. Bodine stopped a blue Hyundai Elantra on Route 22 near Juniper Drive. Upon further investigation, the passenger, later identified as Cherise Schaub, gave a false name. Schaub was found to have numerous in-state warrants and was arrested. Schaub was found to be in possession of cocaine and two crack pipes. Schaub was charged with Possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a prescription legend drug not prescribed to her, and hindering apprehension. Schaub was lodged in the Hunterdon County Jail pending a future court date. The filing of criminal charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
