Car crash leads to DUI arrest

April 10, 2019 at 1454 hours:

At the above date and time, Patrolman First Class Robert Medvetz was dispatched to Forty Second Street for a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, Pfc. Medvetz spoke with the driver involved, Sarah Henschel (age 24 from Whitehouse Station) and discovered evidence of impariment. Henschel performed a series of field sobriety tests and was subsequently placed under arrest for driving under the influence. After performing additional tests at police headquarters, Henschel was released from custody to a relative. Henschel was charged with DUI, careless driving, and failure to keep right. The filing of criminal charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
