DUI arrest

On April 22, at approx. 1:29 p.m. Ptl. Darocha was dispatched to the area of Conover Drive for a report of a vehicle all over the road called in by another driver. Upon arrival, Ptl. Darocha observed the vehicle in the area and conducted a motor vehicle stop. He made contact with the driver, Ravinder Varraich (age 69, Whitehouse Station, NJ) and discovered evidence of impairment. Varraich was unable to successfully perform the field sobriety tests at which point he was arrested for DWI. Varraich was processed at headquaters and issued motor vehicle summonses for DWI and failure to submit to breath tests. He was later released pending a future court date. "The filing of charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law."
