marijuana possession/ intent to distribute arrest

On May 22, 2019 at approximately 2312 hours, Ptl. Bodine was checking on a suspicious Nissan Altima on Bank Street. Upon speaking with the driver, Jeremy Booker, the odor of marijuana was detected inside the vehicle and upon further investigation, marijuana was located on Booker along with a digital scale and packaging material for distribution inside the vehicle. Booker was also in possession of a knife and was found to be a certain person not to possess a weapon. Booker was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and certain person not to possess a weapon. Booker was lodged in Hunterdon County Jail to await a future court date. The filing of criminal charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
