On Thursday, July 4, 2019 at approximately 2238 hours, Sfc. Ferreiro observed a vehicle that was pulled over on Thor Solberg Rd. near Rt. 620 with the passenger side door open. The officer observed an individual enter the vehicle from the wood line near a residence, so the officer stopped the vehicle. During the interaction with the occupants, the officer detected the odor of Marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed raw Marijuana. Savon Jeanty (24) of Parsippany, NJ took ownership of the Marijuana located by the officer. Jeanty was charged with under fifty grams of Marijuana and released from police custody. The filing of criminal charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
