Fugitive from justice and drug arrest
On Friday, October 11, 2019 at approximately 0917 hours, the Readington Township Police Department received a 911 call for a suspicious male in the area of Three Bridges Main St. SFC. Ferreiro, Cpl. Ayotte and SPO. Gillmurray located the suspicious male on the railroad tracks near the original reporting area. The male was identified as William Langford (21) of St. Cloud, MN. The male was found to be in possession of suspected crack cocaine, under fifty grams of Marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A warrant check of the individual revealed a no bail NCIC warrant out of Glencoe, MN Sheriff's Department.
Langford was arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of under fifty grams of Marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and being a fugitive from justice. Langford was lodged at the Somerset County Jail to await extradition to the State of Minnesota. The filing of criminal charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocents until proven guilty in a court of law.
