DWI Arrest
On Sunday, November 3, 2019 at approximately 1859 hours, Ptl. Mazellan was dispatched to Rt. 202 for a report of a vehicle failing to maintain its lane. Ptl. Mazellan located the vehicle and observed the driver Tanya Pastore (48) out of Pittstown, NJ failing to maintain her lane. Ptl. Mazellan stopped Pastore and while speaking to her he smelled a strong odor of an alcohlic beverage emanating from the interior of the vehicle. Pastore failled the officers field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. Pastore was issued a motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, Unregistered Vehicle, Failing to Maintain Lane and issued a complaint summons for Endangering the Welfare of Children. "The Filing of criminal charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guility in a court of law."
