On Friday, December 20th, police were contacted by a resident of the Three Bridges section of Readington Township about a suspected theft. The elderly victim reported that two white males came to her house and stated that they had finished a gutter sealing job nearby and had extra materials. The two offered to seal the victim's gutters at a discounted price and the victim accepted. The two males feigned work on the gutters and then followed the victim inside. One of the actors followed the victim into the room where she kept her money so he could be paid. After leaving the room, they informed the victim that he had to go back into the room to check for gutter leaks. After the two left the residence, the victim discovered her telephone lines were cut and her remaining cash was missing.
