Motor Vehicle Crash / Arrest

On Thursday, April 16, 2020, at approximately 1300 hours, officers responded to the scene of a head-on motor vehicle crash located on Route 523 & Ivy Court. Jordon Weber, age 29 of Flemington, NJ was driving a pick-up truck traveling north and Marilyn Bart of Whitehouse was traveling south on Route 523 in a Volkswagen. Weber's pick up truck crossed over the double yellow lane markings striking Bart's vehicle causing substantial damage to both vehicles.

During the crash investigation, officers developed reason to believe that Weber was operating the vehicle while under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance. A search of the vehicle produced evidence of heroin use, including a syringe and empty heroin fold and two vials of suspected testosterone. Weber was taken to Morristown Medical Center for a complaint of pain to his head. Officers had his blood drawn for the purpose of charging him with DUI. Weber was charged with the following; Possession of CDS, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe, Under the Influence of CDS as well as the following motor vehicle offenses: DWI, Driving While Suspended, Careless Driving, Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle. The filing of criminal charges is merely a step in the criminal justice process. A defendant is presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.

Bart complained of chest and knee pain but did not require medical treatment and Jordon Weber's passenger, Emmanuel Saldana of Ringoes, NJ, the owner of the pick-up truck operated by Weber also did not require medical treatment.

This case is pending further investigation.
