On Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at approximately 1209 hours, the Readington Township Police Department patrol division located an individual soliciting driveway paving and sealcoating jobs in the area of Casperberger Rd. The individual was identified as Thomas Delaney of Branchburg, NJ. During the investigation the individual admitted to soliciting numerous residents for driveway paving and sealcoating jobs. Delaney did not have any valid permits to solicit work at the current time. Delany was charged accordingly with a Readington Township Ordinance for soliciting without permits and released from police custody. The filing of criminal charges is merely a step in the criminal justice process. A defendant is presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
