On Saturday, August 22, 2020 at approximately 0934 hours, the Readington Township Police stopped Franko Acosta (19) out of Somerville, NJ for traveling at a high rate of speed on Route 22. While the officer was speaking to the driver he smelled a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the interior of the vehicle. Acosta was arrested for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The filing of criminal charges is merely a step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guility in a court of law.
